Abstract

This study examines the legal protection of children in the digital environment in Lebanon in light of the evolving challenges posed by technological advancements and artificial intelligence. It aims to assess the effectiveness and adequacy of the Lebanese legal framework in protecting children from digital risks. The study concludes that Lebanese legislation provides a certain degree of protection, however, it remains fragmented and lacks a comprehensive legal framework capable of addressing the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Accordingly, there is a need to update the relevant legislation, strengthen enforcement mechanisms, and promote digital awareness among all stakeholders in order to ensure effective protection of children’s rights and enhance their digital safety.
