Abstract
This study examines the human educational development in light of the story of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and Iblis, focusing on obedience and disobedience as determinants of human behavior. It addresses how the Qur’an presents a comprehensive educational model that explains behavioral deviation and elevation. Further, the study employs an analytical approach to Qur’anic texts and is structured around four main themes: arrogance and behavioral deviation, divine responsibility (taklif) and behavior guidance, obedience and repentance in human development, and the effects of disobedience on individual and social balance. The study concludes that disobedience is closely linked to arrogance, leading to psychological and social instability, while obedience and repentance contribute to personality reformation and behavioral equilibrium. It also highlights that divine responsibility plays a key role in developing self-monitoring and guiding human conduct within the Qur’anic educational framework.
